Account settings
Introduction
Account settings let you customize and secure your experience on Genkibo. This module applies to both investors and companies.
Access settings
- Click your profile (photo or name) in the top right.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- You open the account management center.
Settings sections
1. Security settings
Path: Settings → "Security"
Change your password
- Click "Security".
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password.
- Confirm the new password.
- Click "Update password".
Strong password criteria:
- At least 8 characters
- Uppercase and lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Special characters (!@#$%^&*)
2. Privacy policy
Path: Settings → "Privacy"
Read Genkibo’s privacy policy, which explains:
- What data is collected
- How it is used
- Your rights regarding your data
- Security measures in place
3. Terms of use
Path: Settings → "Terms"
Read the platform terms of use you accepted when you registered.
4. Favorite accounts
Path: Settings → "Favorite accounts"
Manage accounts and offers marked as favorites:
- View your favorites list
- Remove items from favorites
5. Required documents
Path: Settings → "Required documents"
View and manage your supporting documents:

Click a document to upload or update it.
6. Delete your account
Path: Settings → "Delete my account"
Warning: This action is irreversible. All your data will be permanently deleted.
Before deleting your account, make sure:
- All active investments are closed
- You have retrieved all invoices and important documents
- You have no ongoing financial obligations
Deletion procedure:
- Click "Delete my account".
- Read the warnings shown.
- Confirm your identity (email / password).
- Click "Confirm permanent deletion".
Change language
The Genkibo platform supports several languages. To change the interface language:
- Find the language selector (usually in the header or settings).
- Click the desired language.
- The page reloads in the new language.
Switch account
If you have several linked accounts (e.g. investor and company):
- Go to Settings or click your profile.
- Select "Switch account".
- Choose the account to switch to.
- You are redirected to that account’s dashboard.
Update account information
For investors
Account information (first name, last name, email, phone) is updated from Profile → Edit profile.
For companies
Company information is updated from Profile → Edit company profile.
