Resetting your password

Introduction​

Forgot your password? Don’t worry. Genkibo offers a simple, secure process to reset it.

Reset process​

Step 1 — Open the “Forgot password” page​

  1. On the sign-in page, click “Forgot password?”.
  2. You are redirected to the recovery form.

Step 2 — Enter your email​

  1. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  2. Click “Send reset link”.

The platform checks that the email exists in the system. If no account is found, a message informs you.

Step 3 — Check your email​

  1. Open your inbox.
  2. Look for an email from Genkibo with the subject “Password reset”.
  3. Click the reset link in the email.

The link is temporary: it expires after a certain time. If you don’t use it in time, you must start the process again.

Step 4 — Create a new password​

  1. The link redirects you to a secure form.
  2. Enter your new password.
  3. Confirm it by entering it again.
  4. Click “Reset password”.

Step 5 — Sign in with the new password​

Your password is updated. You can now sign in with your new credentials.

Reset for administrators​

The process is the same for admin accounts, but it uses a dedicated administrator sign-in page:

  1. On the admin sign-in page, click “Forgot password”.
  2. Enter the admin email.
  3. Follow the same steps as above.

Change your password from settings​

If you are signed in and want to change your password as a precaution:

  1. Go to Settings → Security.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter your new password.
  4. Confirm the new password.
  5. Click “Update password”.

Tips for a secure password​

A strong password should:

  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Include uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include numbers
  • Include special characters (!, @, #, $, etc.)
  • Not be a dictionary word
  • Not be the same as a password you use on another site

Example of a strong password: G3nk!b0-2024#Secure

Recovery by identifier​

In addition to email recovery, Genkibo may offer recovery by unique identifier. If you forgot your email, contact support via:

  • Built-in chat (if you still have access to another account)
  • The Genkibo team contact form
