Registering as a company
Introduction
This module walks you through creating a company account on Genkibo. This account type is for SMEs, startups, and organizations that want to raise funds from investors.
Step 1 — Open the registration page
- Go to the Genkibo platform.
- Click “Sign up” or “Create an account”.
- On the account type selection page, choose “Company”.
Why choose “Company”? Choose this type if your organization wants to publish projects, create investment offers, and raise funds.
Step 2 — Complete the registration form
Company information
- Company name: the legal name of your organization.
- Industry: select the field that best matches your activity from the list provided.
- Description: a short presentation of your company, its activity, and its goals.
Location
- Country: select your country of operation.
- City: select your city.
- Address: your full address.
Contact person information
- First name: first name of the legal representative or account owner.
- Last name: last name of the contact person.
- Email: primary company email address. Used for notifications.
- Phone number: mobile number for receiving 2FA codes.
Security
- Password: choose a strong password.
- Confirm password: confirm your password.
Step 3 — Submit the form
- Review all entered information.
- Accept the terms of service.
- Click “Create my company account”.
Step 4 — Verify your email address
- A verification email is sent to the address you provided.
- Open the email and click the verification link.
- You are redirected to the platform with your account activated.
If you don’t receive the email: check spam and use the “Resend verification email” option on the confirmation page.
Step 5 — First sign-in and terms of service
On your first sign-in:
- Read the platform terms of service carefully.
- Click “I accept” to access the dashboard.
This step is required. You cannot use the platform without accepting the terms.
Step 6 — Complete your company profile
After registration, it is strongly recommended that you complete your profile before creating offers. Investors review the company profile before investing.
Information to complete
- Company logo: upload your logo (image format recommended).
- Detailed description: present your company in detail.
- Links and social networks (if applicable).
- Required documents: some documents are mandatory to pass the audit.
Required documents
For your company to be audited and validated, you must provide documents. Required types vary by industry and location, but generally include:
- Commercial register or equivalent
- Company bylaws
- Legal representative’s ID
- Proof of address
- Financial documents (statements, etc.)
Tip: Prepare these documents in advance to speed up the audit process.
Validation process
After registration, your company account must go through an audit process before you can publish investment offers:
- Registration → account created
- Profile completion → information and documents
- Audit request → you request validation
- Administrator audit → the Genkibo team verifies your information
- Validation → your account is approved
- Publishing offers → you can raise funds

Common registration issues

| My industry is not in the list | Choose the closest option and clarify in the description |
| I didn’t receive the verification email | Check spam, then request a resend |
| The verification link has expired | Sign in again and request a new link |
